Bombers Eggbutt McHardy Bit
A horse shaking its head when bit pressure is applied or trying to put its tongue over the bit are classic signs the horse has a sensitive tongue. With this in mind the McHardy was created, it has a medium port creating space for the tongue, relieving pressure. The roller in the middle increases bar pressure and as a result extends the head and brings the nose in giving more control.

The Eggbutt cheek piece prevents pinching of the lips and gives a solid feel against the side of the face. It also prevents the bit being pulled through the mouth. The release is slower than the loose ring and also introduces light poll pressure.
The central barrel allows for a separation of reins aids, enabling a fine tuning of communication. The limited movement of the barrel allows the port to adjust to fit a wide range of mouth configurations. The adjustable port allows the horse to maneuver pressures between its tongue & bars.
Bombers Eggbutt Moulded Mullen
Bomber’s latest development is made with a rubbery texture that can sustain some chewing. It is designed to give accepted spread tongue pressure with minimal bar pressure. Recommended for the sensitive fussy mouth or where there is bar damage.
The moulded mouthpiece has been uniquely shaped and flattened. It is angled at 45 degrees to offer an exceptionally soft and evenly distributed pressure over and around the tongue.
